We were commissioned to design the digital screens for Picos, an ice cream brand, starting from the brand manual they had developed. We wanted the screens to be beautiful and colorful, matching the new architecture of their stores. The proposal we presented features a brutalist design, where product photography and large-format texts take center stage. The animation of the texts and products kept Leynis (our talented designer) spending countless hours at YouTube University. In addition, we came up with a delicious twist: we animated the products in stop motion, making them gradually eat themselves and leave crumbs along the way. We spent all of November and a good part of December fully immersed in this project to deliver the four screens on time for the grand opening. Part of the project’s success was due to strong management: briefs updated almost in real time, clear emails with each advancement, and constant, coherent follow-up with the client. If you want to learn more about how to manage creative projects, you can find the book Manage Your Project at bookstores across the country or in our studio’s online store.
