Joy Price makes music for when your mind is full, but your heart needs room to breathe.
Her debut album, Unspoken, brings together uplifting, luminous songs that explore complex emotions without getting stuck in them. The kind that, when they end, leave you with the relief you feel after talking to a good friend. It all started with a photograph Joy already had: poetic, intimate, with something that didn’t need explaining. I listened to the album, looked at the image, and began to build its visual world. Unspoken is about what remains unsaid, so the ribbon became a gesture of closure—a secret kept. Over it, the album title in calligraphy. Then came the Spotify videos. I created a series of 13 short animations in which calligraphy, doodles, and a new version of Joy’s photograph—created with artificial intelligence—come together to complement each song.
Listen to the full album. And watch the videos. Some things go unsaid, but are still felt.
